K. A. Houghtaling has received a carlot shipment of the new 1938 Plymouth and Dodge cars and has them �displayed in his Service Station on the east side of George street, near Third avenue.
The Plymouth, 1938, powered with an 82 h.p. engine, is said to have the safest body ever built�all steel, steel �pillars, steel panels, steel floor, one-i>iece steel top, all reinforced with steel and welded into a solid, ngic �unit.
All control buttons are recessed flush with tlie handsome instrurcen
ment of 218 cubic inches, and full length water jackets, aluminum alloy pistons with four rings to each piston to prevent waste of both fuel and oil.
The driver's seat has a new mechanism which allows better adjustment and thus makes driving extremely easy. The handbrake in all 1938 Dodge custom cars is conveniently located under the instrument board. The safety glass windshield is higher than formerly giving the car driver better road vision.

The government liquor store and government telegraph office at Terrace were destroyed by fire of unknown origin last Wednesday. The telegraph operator saved his instrument and typewriter, but the stock of liquors was a total loss.
General J. W. Stewart, pioneer railway contractor of British Columbia. who has been critically ill in the Vancouver General Hospital, is now reported on the road to recovery.
