$30,000 Granted For 'Fringe Area1 Roads

Residents of the Prince George Regulated Area around the perimiterof the city will be driving on more and smoother roads this summer as a result of a special $30,000 Public Works Department grant.        |�-----------------------------------

appropriation for the district. Mr. Godfrey said that consider-lmprovement of the existing
shortly before npon his department will get a $15,000 grant to improve existing roads in Central and South Fort George and in the Van-Bow area, and another $15,000 grant to construct new roads in an unsettled 12-block area in Central Port George.
After the roads have been constructed, it is expected a reserve on the land will be lifted and residential development will be permitted.
