announced today hy BC Hydro The new rate schedule will give Hydros residential customers reductionsof be between � tween 12 and 20 per cent They are the fourth set of reductions to go into effect since the government agency was created in 1962 The reductions permit Hydro to introduce one cent power to commercial customers who use 3lectricity for space heating water heating and air con conditioning � ditioning This represents a minimum reduction of 20 per cent in en energy � ergy costs of those services said Bill Best Hydros Prince George district manager The new residential rate is considerably lower than exist existing � ing rates For example a homeowner now pays 930 for 500 kilo kilowatt � watt hours a typical monthly consumption In Prince George but under tho new rate his
