record of community service In Prince George has been named Citizen of the Year He received a commemora commemorative � tive scroll from the Rotary Club Saturday In recognition of the contribution he has made to the community Presentation was made at the Pioneer Breakfast held in the Simon Fraser This is the third annual award by the club Last year Dr A L Chambers was chosen Citi Citizen � zen of the Year and the year be before � fore John Mclnnis Sr received the tribute Mr Moffat known to most as Harold or to longtime friends as Ham is that rare resident a native son of Prince George In 1933 he entered the busi business � ness world going to workforhls father at Northern Hardware He began a career of service with membership In the Junior Chamber of Commerce and was elected president of that organ organization � ization in the early 1940s It was at about this time that the club won recognition as the top Canadian Jaycee group In 1945 he became a school trustee a civic office that fol
