What no flags Big ones I mean not the waving at a parade kind Here it is Centennial ear and a good Prince George patriot Is lucky to find a full sized Canadian flag to flap in the breeze Only one store checked jesterday came good with a big flag the others hadonly smaller ones up to about 18 in by 10 in And the flag displays con consisted sisted mostly of clusters of the 15 variety hardly enough to make a Canadian heart swell v 1th pride But apparently it is the old story of supply and de demand mand no one wants a flag any bigger than the small economy size on the stick As one shop assistant put it I have only had two re quests this year for full sized flags most peoplebuy the smaller ones as sou souvenirs venirs But we do keep a small stock of larger ones on hand she added Four other stores carried three different sizes all less than full sized and all hanging stiffly off the end of sticks Two other stores one boasting a healthy silk flag outside had no Canadian flags for sale at all the shame of it all Come on you Prince George patriots go out and order yourselves a big hunk of maple leaf even if you only tack it onto the inside of the bathroom door Or if you are a little more ambitious you could always do what the advertising men do run it up a flag pole and see who salutes FOULED FINGER FOILS FIREMEN PENTICTON BCCP A Calgary tourist got con considerably
