Laurie Esther O’Neill February 19 1958 January 26, 2015
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our wife and mother, Laurie O’Neill. Laurie will be forever loved and missed by her husband of 38 years Terry, and her
son Leigh, mother Faye Nordin, sister Wendy Nordin and her brother Bruce Nordin and his son Colin.
Laurie’s kindness, and love will be missed as well by her mother in law, Olga O’Neill , sister’s in law Michelle, Diane and brother in law Chris O’Neill, as well as her nieces and nephews. Laurie is greatly missed by her constant sheltie companion “Whisper” who was vigilant in her
support for Laurie.
Laurie was a driven, determined and beautiful woman, who left an impression upon everyone she met. Her determination to finish a bachelor’s degree despite her illness, achieving scholarship marks, was an act of courage.
Throughout her life she was selfless in her devotion to help others towards learning and
support. Laurie’s only disappointment was that
her illness prevented further charitable acts in supporting others locally and globally.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” ceremony at Columbus Community Center 7201 Domano Blvd. College Heights on February 7, 2015 at 2:00pm, lunch to follow.
DAHL - Doris Marie passed away peacefully on January 23, 2015, born September 30, 1924. She is
predeceased by her loving husband, Victor, daughter Ivy Gendron, son Norman and great grandson Shawn Currier. She is survived by her children Sheran Dalfort, Orville (Fay), Connie Blanchette (Wilf), Karen McTaggart (Brett), and Glen (Sonyau), son-in-law Ray Gendron, daughter-in-law Inez, along with 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and sister Dorothy Eliason. Doris led a life of love and laughter and was at her happiest when surrounded by family. Having lived in Prince George for 62 years, Doris was well known for her kind heart, generosity, and always having her door open for whomever happened to stop by. She worked at Woodward’s for 22 years before retiring, a position that suited her well given her love of fashion. Doris could frequently be found at social events dancing the night away. She made many friends and her unconditional acceptance of everyone she met has given us something to aspire to. Doris will forever be missed and always be remembered as the loving matriarch of a beautiful family.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Knox United Church, 1448 5th Avenue, Prince George. This is an open invitation for family and friends to attend services and tea at 11:00 am
